
Patty has over 28 years of experience as an occupational therapist, educator, and researcher with a passion for improving the lives of children with diverse needs and their families. Her clinical and research work has focused on high-risk infants and children with cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities, with an emphasis on early identification and interventions that promote participation and meaningful outcomes.
Patty is deeply committed to advancing access to rehabilitation services globally through sustainable partnerships, education, and capacity building. Her international work has included participating in rehabilitation initiatives in Uganda, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Nicaragua, South Africa, Romania, and St. Lucia, with a focus on building meaningful collaborations with rehabilitation professionals across communities and cultures. She has been recognized through a U.S. Fulbright Scholar Award in Trinidad and Tobago (2022) and Fulbright Specialist Awards in Russia (2019) and Haiti (2016). Patty is excited to join the Therapists Beyond Borders Board of Directors and contribute to its mission to build local capacity through sustainable, community-based rehabilitation programs.
